Nano Brow Annual Touch Up. Doesn’t she have nice hair?

Nano brows and microblading are both techniques used to create hair-like strokes in the brows, but the way the pigment is implanted into the skin is completely different.

Microblading is done manually using a small handheld blade made of tiny needles. The artist presses the blade into the skin to create cuts that mimic hair strokes, and pigment sits inside those cuts. Because it’s a cutting motion, it can be a bit more traumatic to the skin and tends to work best on normal to dry skin types. On oily or mature skin it can blur or heal softer over time.

Nano brows are done with a machine and a single ultra-fine needle. Instead of cutting the skin, the needle gently implants pigment with controlled movements. This allows for more precision, less trauma to the skin, and generally better healing on a wider range of skin types, including oily or mature skin.

Both can create natural hair strokes, but nano brows usually offer more control, longer-lasting crispness, and are safer for more skin types.

Just because this client has black hair does not mean we are using black pigment for her brows! I matched it to her brow color for her initial nano brow appointment for a natural result.

annnnnd we don’t have any after shots 🥲 stay tuned for the 8 week touch up🤣. This client wanted a brow lift so we gave her one! She was already so beautiful and lovely but now she loves her brows ☺️

Laser removal is sometimes needed when there’s old pigment already sitting in the skin.
Over time, that pigment can shift in color, become oversaturated, or sit too deep. Adding new pigment on top doesn’t cancel it out, it usually makes brows darker, muddier, or less natural.
Laser helps fade or break up that old ink so the skin is more neutral, giving us a cleaner canvas and better long-term results.

I go to, and I send all of my clients to @studio.kiku for laser removal 🧡
